Production Simulation: A Benchmark for Planning Under Constraints
We built a turn-based factory simulation to test how language models plan under interacting constraints. Across twenty solvable scenarios and nine model configurations, Claude Fable 5 leads every aggregate and is the only model to make multi-product coordination tractable, while reasoning effort, not model choice, is the largest single lever we measured.
